Metaverse Games: A Brief Beginner's Guide on How to Play Decentraland Part 2

Updated: Oct 21, 2023

Within the blockchain space, metaverse games are one of the fastest-growing areas, with new worlds appearing almost daily. But let's look at what metaverse games are before we dive into the specifics around decentralization, and let's begin!

What You Need to Play

First, before you even begin playing Decentraland, you'll need at least 4GB of memory on your computer, a stellar video card, a Chrome or Firefox browser that's up to date, and an internet connection with at least 10MB of download speed. Oh yeah, and a MetaMask wallet.

How to Play

Once on your browser, head to Decentraland's official website and click the 'Get Started' button. You'll be told to down the game or start exploring on the web using your browser; you'll be up and running in no time. You can play using your MetaMask wallet or continue as a guest.

Now it's time to log in; enter your information if you already have an account, or begin setting up your profile if you're new to Decentraland. Here, you can create your virtual avatar, dive right in, and start playing. When creating an avatar, you can make one that looks like you in real life or go crazy and use your imagination, creating whatever your heart desires.

Once you get that all done, it's time to start exploring Decentraland and seeing what the metaverse is all about, and if you're lucky, maybe even making some money.
