Understanding TCP/IP: The Backbone of Internet Communication

TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is a set of standardized rules allowing computers to communicate over a network like the internet.   4. Application Layer: The highest layer is where applications like email, web browsers, and messaging systems operate. It ensures communication between programs running on different devices.


TCP/IP allows these four layers to work together, ensuring that data is transmitted accurately and efficiently, regardless of the type of devices involved.
